The Older Adult Recovery Center (OARC) is a program of Chelsea Community Hospital that offers a continuum of chemical dependency services specifically designed to meet the needs of older adults.
The program pace is variable to meet the client’s needs and the content reflects older adult issues. The OARC program emphasizes providing SA education, developing recovery tools including a 12-step program, relapse prevention, and establishing a long-term recovery plan, including family support and support groups such as AA/NA.

The major service areas include:

• Outpatient detoxification – medically monitored detox
• Intensive Outpatient Treatment – a treatment milieu consisting of educational, didactic, and therapy groups and individual sessions
• Standard Outpatient Treatment – includes individual treatment sessions and recovery groups
