Richard A. Chaperon, PT
Rich has been practicing physical therapy since 1999. He graduated with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State University in 1998. Rich has been with Saint Joseph Mercy Health System at the Michigan Orthopedic Center (MOC) since 2001. The majority of Rich’s time is spent in the outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic with the occasional treatment of inpatients. At the MOC, Rich works with a variety of conditions with an emphasis on the spine. Rich has experience with a variety of extremity patients as well. Through continuing education courses and in-house training, he has learned and is proficient with a wide variety of manual treatments. These skills are complimented by Rich’s ever growing knowledge of unique exercises for each patient's specific diagnosis.

Rajiv Chhabria, PT, DPT
Rajiv Chhabria has been a Physical Therapist for 17 years. He graduated from the University of Calcutta and received his Doctorate Of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine, FL. He has been with SJMHS since October 2007 and is the Site Leader for Physical Therapy and Hand Rehabilitation services at the Michigan Orthopedic Center. Prior to SJMHS, Rajiv worked in the outpatient setting since April 1999 and had extensive experience in treating musculo-skeletal conditions as well as the neurological population using an eclectic approach to treating his patients. He comes from a family of Physical and Occupational Therapists and is married to an Occupational Therapist. Rajiv became a therapist so that he could have the one on one contact with patients and be able to rehabilitate them so they accomplish the activities they are accustomed to doing..

Carrie Hamilton, MPT, OCS
Carrie received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan. She also has a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan-Flint and most recently became a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). Since graduation Carrie has worked with a variety of orthopedic conditions including non-surgical and pre and post surgical conditions for shoulders, hips, knees, ankles, neck and back. She uses an eclectic approach to therapy that includes a combination of manual techniques and exercises along with appropriate education and pain modalities. Carrie enjoys spending time with her family and participating in sports including water-skiing, snow skiing and running.

Georges Ibrahim, PT
George has a Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the Universite Libre DeBruxelles in Belgium, and a diploma in Osteopathy (DO) from the European School of Osteopathy in the United Kingdom. He has been with Saint Joseph Mercy Health System since 1990, practicing as a Clinical Specialist in the outpatient physical therapy departments of the Michigan Orthopedic Center and St Joseph Mercy-Saline. Georges specializes in the manual treatment of patients with a vast array of spinal conditions, including neck, thoracic and low back pain. His area of expertise includes cranio-sacral therapy, mechanical dysfunction of the spine, the pelvis and myofascial release. Georges uses a collaborative approach to individualize a plan of care for each patient, thus giving them the opportunity to provide input on what is achievable, to improve their function and enjoy their lives again.

Regina Jordon Wilson, OTR, CHT
Regina received her Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University in 1981 and become a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) in 1991. She specializes in the treatment of injuries to the hand, wrist, forearm and elbow. By utilizing a variety of techniques such as manual therapy, soft tissue and joint mobilization, splinting and patient education, she strives to return patients to their highest functional level. Regina educates patients in ergonomics and techniques for correct posture to enable them to continue to improve or prevent future injury once they have completed therapy. She is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists, the American Occupational Therapy Association and the Michigan Occupational Therapy Association. Regina has worked for Saint Joseph Mercy Health System since 1987.

Margaret Lo Bello PT, DPT, OCS
Margaret (Margie) has been practicing physical therapy since 1979. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from Daemen College in New York and her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Rocky Mountain University in Utah. She has been a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) since 1997. Margie has specialized in treating outpatient orthopedic patients since 1986. Over the years, she has practiced in New York, Minnesota and Michigan and brings a broad background of treatment approaches to her practice. For the first half of her career, Margie focused on spinal orthopedic care and participated in research for back injury prevention while in New York. Since 1997, Margie has specialized in orthopedic extremity treatment. Her treatment approach is eclectic with an emphasis on evidence based practice, manual therapy and therapeutic exercise. She has a special interest in shoulder rehabilitation and lower extremity biomechanics. She has taught continuing education courses for rehabilitation of the shoulder, knee, foot and ankle.

Michal Mannheim, PT
Michal Mannheim has been practicing physical therapy since 1978 and has a Master’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan. Michal joined the physical therapy team at Saint Joseph Mercy Health System (SJMHS) in 1986. Initially working on the inpatient rehabilitation unit, Michal transferred to St. Joseph Mercy Physical Therapy and Hand Rehabilitation Services at the Michigan Orthopedic Center in 1993 and has worked there since. During her time at SJMHS, Michal has implemented a physical therapy service focused on work related injuries at Maple Business Health. Michal has taken a variety of specialized training courses and works with emphasis and expertise in extremities utilizing multiple approaches to treatment. These include manual therapy and therapeutic exercise in order to help clients achieve their rehab goals and return to optimal function.

Matthew McNulty, PTA
Matt is a graduate of Henry Ford Community College's Physical Therapy Assistant program. He works with both outpatient and inpatient for St. Joseph Mercy Health System. Matt enjoys working with joint replacement patients and athletes returning to sport.

Karen Shoner, OTR, CHT
Karen received her degree in Occupational Therapy from EMU. She has specialized in the treatment of hands since 1989. She obtained her Certification in Hand Therapy in 1991. Karen began working for Saline Community Hospital in 1987. She has since worked for a local orthopedic physicians' clinic until rejoining the SJMHS in 2011. She enjoys treating all hand and upper extremity problems and seeing patients regain independence in their daily lives.

Dave Stolarski PT, CHT
Dave received his Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan in 1981. He also became a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) in 1995. He specializes in treating musculoskeletal conditions of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand including: tendonitis, fractures, nerve syndromes, amputations, arthritis, tendon lacerations and joint dislocations. Dave draws on his years of experience to combine various treatment techniques to restore optimal function. He practices a collaborative approach, seeking patient input and customizing their treatment programs both in the clinic and for home. Dave has worked with the Saint Joseph Mercy Health System since 1989.

Maria M Zubieta-Gomez, PT, CHT
Maria has a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of  Del Rosario in Bogota, Colombia. She has been practicing in the United States since 1988, starting at Saline Community Hospital as an inpatient P.T. before transferring to out patient Orthopedics. She has been a certified hand therapist (CHT) since 2006. Maria has extensive experience in treatment of musculoskeletal conditions of the upper extremity
including repetitive and traumatic injuries. She is skilled in the use of techniques such as manual therapy, exercise programs and static and dynamic splinting. Maria is bilingual and is fluent in English and Spanish.
