EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP APPOINTMENT ANNOUNCED
Port Huron, MI… St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron (SJMPH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Joyce L. Young, PhD, RN, CENP, as Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Nursing.
Young received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Morningside College, Sioux City, IA; a Master of Health Services Operations from the University of South Dakota; and a Doctor of Philosophy in Health System Administration from Capella University. Young also completed a Nurse Executive Wharton Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and is certified in executive nursing practice.
Young joins the team with a long history of providing nursing leadership across the corporate CHE Trinity Health system. Young started her career at Mercy Health Center in Sioux City, IA in 1983. She has served in Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer roles since 1997. In addition to her St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron responsibilities, Young also serves as Vice President Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer, Saint Joseph Mercy Health System, Ann Arbor, Livingston and Saline.
