Port Huron, MI…Anthony W. Boutt, MD, was named the January 2012 St. Joseph Mercy Patient-Focused Physician of the Month. The St. Joseph Mercy Patient-Focused Physician of the Month award highlights a physician’s commitment to working collaboratively to promote patient and community health through clinical excellence and patient-focused care. Physicians honored with this award must also be one whom St. Joseph Mercy Hospital staff and volunteers would recommend to family and friends in the community.

“As a team player, Dr. Boutt always communicates effectively with clinical staff in the coordination of holistic care of his patients,” comments his nominator. “In daily practice he displays a positive approach and is committed to exceptional patient quality and clinical outcomes. Dr. Boutt goes above and beyond in providing care to patients and families. He spends his time with patients, providing a clear understanding and explanation of the surgical procedure and he is never rushed. He listens to patients’ concerns and is genuine in his bedside manner. I would refer Dr. Boutt to family and friends for his clinical expertise, and also his kind, caring and compassionate manner. He demonstrates positive surgical outcomes, promotes new and innovative ideas and stays on top of leading edge practices.”

“Dr. Boutt is a terrific asset to our health care community,” states Peter Karadjoff, St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron (SJMPH) President and CEO. “His outstanding performance has been noted by those who work most closely with him and has been highlighted through his nomination. I wish to extend my sincere appreciation to Dr. Boutt for elevating the health status of our community.”

“As a member of the medical community, I have had an opportunity to work alongside so many talented and compassionate individuals,” comments Anthony W. Boutt, MD. “Being recognized in this manner is truly a great honor. I thank you and appreciate your hard work and ongoing dedication to our patients’ health and well being.”
