MERCY REGIONAL CANCER CENTER HOSTS FREE SKIN CANCER SCREENING
Port Huron, MI...It's time to check your spots! The Mercy Regional Cancer Center invites you to attend a FREE Skin Cancer Screening, Wednesday, May 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Mercy Women's Health Center at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. Local cancer specialists and dermatologist will be on hand to discuss your skin cancer concerns and provide a "suspicious spot" check. Registration is required. The American Cancer Society reports that skin cancer is the most common of all cancers and accounts for about half of all cancer diagnoses. More than one million cases of skin cancer are diagnosed each year. Melanoma, the most serious type of skin cancer, will account for about 62,480 cases of skin cancer this year.
This FREE skin cancer screening program is co-sponsored by the Mercy Regional Cancer Center and the American Academy of Dermatology.
