FREE Senior Seminar on Nutrition Planned 02/14/2011 ST. JOSEPH MERCY INVITES LOCAL SENIORS TO FIND HEALTHY FOOD CHOICES
Port Huron, MI…St. Joseph Mercy is pleased to announce it will host a Healthy Aging seminar designed specifically with seniors in mind. The March program will feature Registered Dietitian Rachael Summerville, Mercy Nutrition Services, who will present, “You Are What You Eat,” an engaging program for area seniors, age 55 and older, offering some fun tips and techniques designed to help them make better food choices and maintain a healthful lifestyle.
The Healthy Aging series is one of the many services St. Joseph Mercy has developed to enhance its provision of services to better reflect the unique requirements of our aging population. “You Are What You Eat” will be held on Wednesday, March 16, from 2 to 3 p.m., in the in the First Floor Conference Room of St. Joseph Mercy Hospital located at 2601 Electric Avenue, Port Huron.
Other seminars will follow each month with programs designed to help seniors maintain both their physical and mental health. Look for more information as these programs become available. These free programs include refreshments and educational sessions to help seniors improve their health throughout 2011.
