YOU’RE INVITED! VINEYARDS OF THE WORLD SLATED FOR FEBRUARY 25, 2011

Port Huron, MI… The St. Joseph Mercy Foundation is pleased to announce that the premier fundraiser “Vineyards of the World” wine tasting event to benefit the Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health is planned for Friday, February 25. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., participants can once again experience exotic taste sensations from around the world. The Ninth Annual “Vineyards of the World”, cosponsored by Wright & Filippis, will be held at Fore Lakes Golf Club, in Kimball Township.

This year’s event will offer an opportunity to sense some exciting new wine releases from around the world including Australia, Argentina, Italy, France and Spain; and even some domestic versions from California, Michigan, Oregon and Washington. This year’s event will again feature the popular beer station and martini station. In addition to the beverages, participants will also be provided exquisite hot and cold hors d’oeuvres that have been carefully hand-selected to complement the overall experience.

“Each year this event grows in both size and popularity,” comments Mary Russel, YMCA of the Blue Water Area, and Chair of the 2011 Vineyards of the World Planning Committee. “The community has shown incredible interest in this fun and exciting event that benefits one of the most important medical care access clinics in the community, the Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health.”

Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health is a collaborative project of St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron and the St. Clair County Medical Society. It is funded in part by the United Way of St. Clair County. The clinic provides free medical care to those in our community who are uninsured and lack the resources to pay for their care. Peoples’ Clinic is the centerpiece of St. Joseph Mercy’s mission to provide care to the poor and underserved.
