St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Urgent Care-Waterford Expands Hours
Urgent Care Center Offers Medical Attention for Non-Life-Threatening Conditions
Pontiac, Mich.—St. Joseph Mercy Oakland (SJMO) announces that effective Jan. 1, the hours of operation at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Urgent Care-Waterford will expand. The new hours are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. Presently, the urgent care center opens at 8 a.m.
Opening an hour earlier in Waterford means that the center now matches the hours at the other SJMO urgent care centers in Birmingham, Lake Orion and White Lake.
All four St. Joe urgent care centers offer medical attention when the situation is not life threatening. All physicians are board-certified in Family Medicine. Urgent care centers treat such conditions as:
minor asthma-related symptoms
bronchitis
minor cuts or animal bites
broken bones or sprains
skin rashes, sunburn or minor burns
fever
upper respiratory and sinus infections
illness with nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea
eye infections, pink eye, styes
bladder infections
skin infections (such as impetigo, cold sores, athlete’s foot)
General X-rays and lab tests also are performed at the urgent cares.
SJMO Urgent Care-Waterford is presently located at 5800 Highland Road (just east of Airport Road).
