Therapeutic Yoga 01/08/2013 St. Mary Mercy Hospital is offering Therapeutic Yoga classes on Wednesdays from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. beginning January 30 through March 6, in Classrooms 1 & 2 at St. Mary Mercy Hospital.
Therapeutic Yoga blends restorative yoga (supported postures), and gentle yoga, with chair and floor poses. This class is for those who may need something gentle yet effective for bringing the body into balance and reducing stress. Meditation and breathing techniques are included. Therapeutic Yoga offers you tools to help you on your journey toward better health and wellness.

The purpose of yoga is integration, purification and discipline of the mind, body and heart, which will lead all to liberation from the circle of pain, distress and anxiety. Class participants need to be able to move between a standing position and a hands and knees position with ease. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a firm blanket or sticky mat and bottled water. Please refrain from eating at least two hours before class.
