Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is a very common and potentially fatal disease. Caused by blocked blood flow in the arteries of the legs, symptoms include:
-pain, cramping and fatigue in the legs while walking
-painful skin discoloration of the legs and/or toes
PAD affects over 10 million men and women typically over age 50. People who smoke, have high blood pressure, diabetes or high cholesterol level have increased risk.
