Category   Special Events
Facility   St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron
Event Date   02/22/2013
Start Time   06:30 pm
Description   The St. Joseph Mercy Foundation is pleased to announce that the premier fundraiser “Vineyards of the World” wine tasting event to benefit the Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health is planned for Friday, February 22. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., participants can once again experience exotic taste sensations from around the world. The Eleventh Annual “Vineyards of the World”, cosponsored by Wright & Filippis, will be held at Fore Lakes Golf Club, in Kimball Township.

This year’s event will offer an opportunity to sense some exciting new wine releases from around the world including Australia, Argentina, Italy, France and Spain; and even some domestic versions from California, Michigan and Oregon. The program will again feature the popular beer station and martini station. In addition to the beverages, participants will also be provided exquisite hot and cold hors d’oeuvres that have been carefully hand-selected to complement the overall wine tasting experience.

All proceeds from this event go to support the Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health, and is the centerpiece fundraising event for the clinic. Last year, Vineyards of the World generated more than $54,630 and helped support clinic operations.

Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health is a collaborative project of St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron and the St. Clair County Medical Society. It is funded in part by the United Way of St. Clair County.

The clinic provides free medical care to those in our community who are uninsured and lack the resources to pay for their care. Peoples’ Clinic is the centerpiece of St. Joseph Mercy’s mission to provide care to the poor and underserved.
