Chelsea Community Hospital Children's Center - School-Age Program
The Chelsea Community Hospital's Children's Center, partnering with the Chelsea School District, offers before and after school care for children in the District.
Our School-age Programs provide a stimulating environment where each child is respected for their unique talents and interests. The professional staff provides activities that enhance the healthy development of the total child- his/her social, emotional, intellectual and physical development.
Specific activities such as arts and crafts, cooking, board games, cards, manipulative toys and outdoor activities are offered. During the school-year homework time is also offered.
The North Creek Elementary site is for K-5th for both before school and after school care. We do offer full day childcare for school in-service, vacations, and inclement weather days.
Summer Adventure Program
During the summer months, field trips are provided as a means of exploring the total community. The children enjoy many activities. Examples include swimming at the local pool, museums, science centers, the zoo, bowling, roller skating, ice skating, blueberry picking, horseback riding, Mystery Trip, Independence Lake, Oh My Lolli, and the library.
